Lauren Roobotttom, joined as an Xfactor Franchisee in 2009, Lauren writes: "I chose a franchise with Xfactor because it is a well established quality brand. Head Office runs our national marketing and advertising, which is very useful and brings results and bookings to my events.

X Factor's motto is 'Stylish events at the Most Exclusive Venues', and I felt that dating was something I really wanted to be part of.

Here in Birmingham we only use the top, top venues including Mechu, The Vaults and The Lyttelton Arms in Stourbridge. These quality venues are only too happy to be associated with the XFactor brand, in fact we have a list of venues who want us to hold events at their premises.

So far we have held Speed Dating, Double Dating and Singles Lock and Key Party. To illustrate how helpful Head Office is, the M.D. of XFactor came to our first singles party at The Vaults to assist with her knowledge and experience in running the event. The party was a wild event with loads of couples hitting it off!

We get lots of ideas through the franchisor, and they provide us with training, advice and support, as well as updates on new event themes but allow me to be my own boss at the same time! The package also includes a bespoke database and a first class website and admin area for franchisees. I certainly would not have benefited from any of this if I set this up on my own.

Everyone without exception has been supportive, given advice, talked me through procedures and processes and I have felt very much part of a big family.

I organised a press campaign with the Stourbridge News who featured one of our events at The Lyttelton Arms. The coverage not only helped tremendously with ticket sales but also got us a spot on Bridge Radio which assisted even further.
