How Speed Dating Works
At an Xfactor Speed Dating event guests have around 20 face-to-face 3 minute “dates” with like-minded single people. Aimed at mostly professionals, speed dating events are the perfect way to meet new singles in an exciting and fun filled evening.
The speed dating event is organised so that there are plenty of breaks for you to grab a drink at the bar & mingle further with the other guests.
We ensure our Ice-breakers welcome you and are always on hand to relax and mingle with guests, whilst also playing cupid to ensure everyone has a good time!
Before the Speed Dating event
Once your booking has been made via the fully secure website, you will automatically receive an email booking confirmation detailing the location & description of the venue, together with an explanation of how the evening runs. If you have any questions or are a bit nervous on the evening, don't worry - remember everyone’s in the same position!

During the Speed Dating event
Guests are greeted on arrival by our Hosts and are registered from the guest list on the door. Armed with their Guest Pack, Speed Daters are then escorted to the bar where they are welcomed by our Icebreaker hosts. After a short time at the bar, the fun really begins when the speed dating starts!
Each woman is seated at the table which corresponds to their badge number. The men then start their first date with the lady who has the same badge number as themselves. The women remain seated at their table throughout the speed dating, whilst the men move clockwise between tables every 3 minutes.
At the end of each date, Speed Daters mark on their scorecard whether or not they would like to see that person again, together with any comments they feel appropriate, to help jog their memory.
After the speed dating sessions have finished, don't go rushing off, as the evening doesn’t end there - the bar stays open and the guests stay on and mingle to get to know each other better.
After the Speed Dating event
Remember to take your Scorecard home and log back into our website to enter your results and see who you have matched with.
If someone you have "ticked" has also ticked you, then you both have a "match"! You can then view all your matches & with a more detailed profile, including photos! You can then get back in contact with your matches via email, if you wish to arrange meeting up again.
